DAVID CHAO
President and Founder

David Chao is president and founder of Oakmark Capital and is responsible for managing the company's investment portfolio. Prior to founding Oakmark Capital, David Chao worked for WebEx Communications and Morgan Stanley. (WebEx was acquired by Cisco Systems for $3.2B in 2007.)

As part of the Cisco Collaboration Software Group (CSG), David Chao helped WebEx and CSG consistently achieve 24% CAGR by optimizing and streamlining sales processes and efficiencies. While at Morgan Stanley, David Chao managed multi-million dollar portfolios for high net worth investors.

David Chao holds a B.S. from the University of California at Davis and also completed the Executive Program from U.C. Davis.
